The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has received the first part of a phased construction permit application, including a limited work authorization (LWA) request, from Blue Energy Global, Inc., for a single-unit BWRX-300 plant to be located at the Blue Energy Center in Victoria, Texas. The unit is named Blue Energy Center–Port of Victoria Nuclear Unit 1.
